We were a group fo Four and had probably the best time staying here.
I can assure you that you'd never get bored. The stay is amidst acres of Coffee plantations.
They have a nice muddy walkway taking you towards a beautiful stream of water.
We even walked alongside the stream for few metres.
The location is quite interior and google does give an accurate path. However, the roads being narrow and single lane, best time to go would be before sunset.
Hosts were really welcoming and food was homemade entirely and they are happy and open to make any dish as per request.
Rooms had great view, trees, forest and mountains.
Would definitely drop by sometime soon.
Do try their home made wine and coffee liqueur while there.

Great property, better than any homestay!
The villa we stayed in was spacious and fantastic, with four bedrooms featuring comfortable queen-size beds. It had a fridge, but no microwave. While the food menu could offer more variety, most items were hygienic and had a comforting, homemade taste.
There was some construction happening during our stay, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. The hosts were great—kudos to Arpita and Vadan for being such wonderful hosts!
As the name "Deep Woods" suggests, the property is nestled deep within a coffee estate. We even saw a running stream from a lake nearby, and the surroundings were truly beautiful. The last 500 meters of the approach road weren't constructed, but our sedan managed it fine. Overall, the place felt very safe and secure. Caretake Nicedati she is great cook and Keerthi her husband is of great help

Went for a 3 day vacation with wife. The place is a 30 acre estate in arekadu, some 20 kms from madikeri. It is managed by Harish Somaiah and his family (Appachetolondu) who are down to earth , humble and very friendly
The property is well done, with wooden interior and each room has a nice balcony facing the estate. Pricing is 3500/- per room / per couple including 2 meals (bf & dinner) . If you have your own vehicle, it's convenient else you have to depend to taxi or auto for travel
Amenities include wifi, hotwater, genset, ice (for drinks) , etc. Food prepared is local & tasty . You have to communicate well in advance about your preferences for meals.. Ex, salt, masala n oil . There's are househelp n caretakers for your needs. It might get lil noisy with so many people over weekends but weekdays are absolute bliss. Peaceful, calm serene.
Definitely worth visiting !!

TLDR: Deep Woodz is a lovely Homestay and I totally recommend it!
Stay and hospitality:
We were welcomed by two sweet dogs 😋. Mr. Harish and his team have done a great job in maintaining the place. The rooms are spacious (and super clean). The patio/balcony has a private view of the coffee estate which is a plus.
Shout out to Mr. Mani who took care of any of our needs throughout out stay.
Food:
We had home cooked, local coorgi cusuine for every meal. It was absolutely delicious. On request, they also prepared Maddu thoppu dessert (it is a rice pudding made with an extract from Maddu plant which is harvested only for 2 days a year!).
Location:
As you can see in the photos, it's completely surrounded by coffee estate. It's located far away from the roads, so you don't hear any noise from outside. The entire property has very well maintained gardens!

True to its name, it’s hidden in a coffee plantation in deep woods , yet good connectivity. It’s lush green coffee estate with beautiful cottages and amazing view.
Warm welcome by host Mr Harish and family. Coorg home stays and coffee estate stays are famous for hospitality and quality of food. Rice cake, Sambar, mango chutney/sweet pickle like dish with rice were yummy. Enjoyed my relaxed stay there for a day and came back refreshed.
Nice place to stay with family/kids. Liked the idea of Car parking area which can be used as badminton Court.
It’s maintained very well. Kudos to dedicated support staff.

We stayed here for 2 nights with family. 1st thing you have to keep in mind is that its not a resort or a hotel but a homestay. So you should not have service level expectations of a hotel. Location is awesome. You have do drive down the valley inside from main road into the coffee estate. So try to reach before sunset. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Host Mr. Harish is a nice gentleman. Ganesh who takes care of guests also helpful. They served us nice home cooked food in breakfast and dinner. Food is also reasonably priced. They helped us to prepare food for my 1 yr old kid. Overall highly satisfied.

It was a pleasure to stay with Mr Harish & his team. It is located DEEP within the coffee estate. The ambience is arboreal with the tall trees & coffee plantation adding just the background base ... the real thing is the well manicured gardens with flowers in full bloom. The attention to details is spot on. The rooms are spacious clean and adequate for a comfortable stay. The food served is delicious & do not miss out on the local flavors. Special thank you to Mr Mani who is a one man army ... taking care of guests with a constant smile. Thank you for some wonderful memories.

Like the name says, the place is located deep in the woods 😅. Didn't expect the drive from the main gate to be this long!
It is nestled comfortably inside the owner's coffee estate. They have their own spice garden and nursery, and they sell plants and spices like pepper to their guests as well.
This place was highly recommended by our neighbors who have been here several times. And it lives up to the hype👍
The rooms are spacious and clean. The surrounding forest gives a certain arboreal feel to your stay. We had a lot of rain on the first day which dampened our spirits a bit, but the night was clear and the air had a crisp chill.
The next day was bright and sunny, and a shutterbugs delight. We went for walks around the place several times.
The food is good and they will customise to your taste. We had pork and mutton, with the former cooked in the traditional Corgi style.
This was overall a very pleasant stay and a much needed getaway from city life.

Very peaceful and serene property. The owners are extremely friendly and always willing to make the stay comfortable. Rooms are neat and tidy. Washrooms are clean and hygienic. The property has rooms with a view of the estate which is pleasant. Special mention to Mani who is extremely approachable and helped us with the food and stay. Food here is homely and tasty. Would recommend trying their homemade liquor and wines. Property is away from the city and pocket friendly. Would definitely suggest staying here.

We stayed for 4 days and we absolutely loved it. The food was scrumptious! The pandi curry & Kadambuttu is a must try. The rooms were cozy, very clean and well kept. The hosts were lovely and friendly and made us feel very much at home. An escape from the mundane city life. The rustling of the trees, the birds chirping, the morning dew on the very well kept garden was a real delight . Tanish was extremely attentive and ensured we were very comfortable. We will definitely be visiting again!

🏡 It's truly a Homestay with a homely plus close to nature experience away from the busy city life. We loved how the owners family were so involved with everything and took care of us as "guests". Even their staff were friendly and warm.
The best part was the Healthy and tasty 😊food,(especially the black masala 🍗 and pork curry) all cooked straight from the owner's kitchen by his wife and team. Only downside is their tasty snacks are very overpriced. I've never paid so much for onion pakoras in my life!💸
.
The rooms had a wonderful wooden cabin feel with an awesome balcony looking out to the coffee plantation. The bathroom had a unique sky🌌 window on the roof continuing the inside-outside theme.
The road to the homestay can get tricky and i was nervous for my car and the location seems far from all the places you'd want to see. However, the homestay itself was worth it.
Overall, I would recommend this stay to anyone in a heartbeat. The owner Harish even dropped a note to checkin on us during the current pandemic. We will be back as soon as possible!
~ RJ J
The location is excellent deep in woods as the name suggests. We stayed there for 3 nights. Nice basic homely food was prepared for us as per our requirements .The short trek behind the estate to the stream was very peaceful. The only minus point was that on the third day there were many guests staying there and that's when the property was understaffed but on other 2 days when there were not many guests the service was satisfactory
~ Arti B
A place beautiful than its description on the internet. very Courteous host and assistance.
Worth every penny and definitely a safe & joyful getaway for most needed weekend break.
The property is very well maintained and decorated with a plethora of flowers. The place looks no less than a botanical garden. Rooms are very neat and cosy. it definitely is DEEPwoodz!
You can blindly book this place without any doubt about the place.

Wonderful Stay at Deep Woodz, Madikeri
I had an amazing stay at Deep Woodz. The place is surrounded by beautiful greenery, and the wooden design of the cabin makes it feel cozy and warm. Waking up to foggy mornings and peaceful views was just perfect. The hospitality was top-notch, thanks to the owner and Mani, who were always helpful. The food, cooked by aunt, tasted like home and made the stay even more special. I can’t wait to visit again!
~ Nikhil C
A serene place away from sound and pollution amidst mother nature and accompanied by great host. A place to enjoy, a place to live and a place to visit again and again. Thanks Mr Harish and Family for such warm welcome and treating us like family and for your generosity, a much recommended place if you want "PEACE and LIFE"! Nature, Quality of Stay, Great Hosts and awesome Food, Go for it!
~ Hiranmaya M
This was an amazing experience. Very economical rooms, well maintained property with the estate literally at your doorstep. The property is managed by a family who are very kind, hospitable and courteous.
The food is homemade and one needs to inform the family before hand as they need to prepare it.
Staying at deep woodz was perhaps the best highlight of my holiday. Will visit again.
~ Rohan F
Had a great time with my family here. The estate is big and beautiful and we enjoyed exploring the estate. The view from the room balcony is also good. Service was great and food also amazing which was home made by the hosts.
The one issue that certainly needs improvement is noise cancellation in the rooms on the first floor. We could hear everything from the nearby room.
~ Sakshi B
Went here for my birthday celebration! Such a beautiful and serene place located in between estates. Greenery all around and very spacious rooms too!
Had a lovely time. Definitely recommend everyone from Bangalore booking farms and estates on the outskirts to look at booking this place as it's not a very long drive and is definitely worth the extra travel :)

Amazing very beautiful place. Must experience at least one time here. I love this place.Rooms/ cottages are very neat and clean. The property is well maintained. When I reached here I was changed my mode for stay from 1 night to some more nights. Food is too Yam, you will definitely love it. It’s purely home made food, you can ask to add more or remove spice and Oil as per your wish.
~ sachin g
Was a well deserved break and what an amazing experience, The owner Mr Harish was the best host and the place is so beautiful and serene away from the din of the city, couldn't have asked for a better home stay, not forgetting Ganesh who made your stay amazing with all the crazy requests and was served with a smile always 😀 ❤ 😊
~ Lloyd D
Simply Superb, extraordinary stay. Very well built place the owners Harish ji was very welcoming. Their place was built with utmost love and creativity.
