From the moment we arrived, our experience in Coorg was absolutely magical. Nestled amidst lush green coffee plantations and mist-covered hills, this property felt like a serene escape straight out of a dream. The warm hospitality, attention to detail, and breathtaking views made our stay truly unforgettable. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed with a perfect blend of modern comfort and traditional Coorg charm. Every morning, we woke up to the sound of birds and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee — pure bliss! The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel at home, from serving delicious homemade meals to sharing local stories and hidden gems to explore. The best part of the trip was the host who navigated us through all the best parts of the stay and of Coorg.A 100% must visit place in COORG. ~ Degul A
I had visited here for the long weekend. First of all, I loved the location, the estate was very well maintained. Kudos to Mani, the inhouse care taker. He took care of all our amenities. Super kind and caring. Secondly , the food was absolutely delectable. Very home style and budget friendly. The only problem that we faced was there was a group of people who were problematic and uncivilised in terms of partying and making noise at night. But this was nothing to do with the property, bunch of uncivilised hooligans. Regardless, our stay was beautiful and would definitely recommend for a nice quiet get away! :) Oh and we also got a bunch of avocados , right from the tree, which was a perfect end to the trip! ~ Roshni T
We were a group fo Four and had probably the best time staying here. I can assure you that you'd never get bored. The stay is amidst acres of Coffee plantations. They have a nice muddy walkway taking you towards a beautiful stream of water. We even walked alongside the stream for few metres. The location is quite interior and google does give an accurate path. However, the roads being narrow and single lane, best time to go would be before sunset. Hosts were really welcoming and food was homemade entirely and they are happy and open to make any dish as per request. Rooms had great view, trees, forest and mountains. Would definitely drop by sometime soon. Do try their home made wine and coffee liqueur while there. ~ Hridya R
Great property, better than any homestay! The villa we stayed in was spacious and fantastic, with four bedrooms featuring comfortable queen-size beds. It had a fridge, but no microwave. While the food menu could offer more variety, most items were hygienic and had a comforting, homemade taste. There was some construction happening during our stay, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. The hosts were great—kudos to Arpita and Vadan for being such wonderful hosts! As the name "Deep Woods" suggests, the property is nestled deep within a coffee estate. We even saw a running stream from a lake nearby, and the surroundings were truly beautiful. The last 500 meters of the approach road weren't constructed, but our sedan managed it fine. Overall, the place felt very safe and secure. Caretake Nicedati she is great cook and Keerthi her husband is of great help ~ Ankur S
Went for a 3 day vacation with wife. The place is a 30 acre estate in arekadu, some 20 kms from madikeri. It is managed by Harish Somaiah and his family (Appachetolondu) who are down to earth , humble and very friendly The property is well done, with wooden interior and each room has a nice balcony facing the estate. Pricing is 3500/- per room / per couple including 2 meals (bf & dinner) . If you have your own vehicle, it's convenient else you have to depend to taxi or auto for travel Amenities include wifi, hotwater, genset, ice (for drinks) , etc. Food prepared is local & tasty . You have to communicate well in advance about your preferences for meals.. Ex, salt, masala n oil . There's are househelp n caretakers for your needs. It might get lil noisy with so many people over weekends but weekdays are absolute bliss. Peaceful, calm serene. Definitely worth visiting !! ~ Raghu V

TLDR: Deep Woodz is a lovely Homestay and I totally recommend it! Stay and hospitality: We were welcomed by two sweet dogs 😋. Mr. Harish and his team have done a great job in maintaining the place. The rooms are spacious (and super clean). The patio/balcony has a private view of the coffee estate which is a plus. Shout out to Mr. Mani who took care of any of our needs throughout out stay. Food: We had home cooked, local coorgi cusuine for every meal. It was absolutely delicious. On request, they also prepared Maddu thoppu dessert (it is a rice pudding made with an extract from Maddu plant which is harvested only for 2 days a year!). Location: As you can see in the photos, it's completely surrounded by coffee estate. It's located far away from the roads, so you don't hear any noise from outside. The entire property has very well maintained gardens! ~ akash r
Stayed here for one night recently. Location : 5/5. Closest to Maragodu, roughly 20 kms from Madikeri town. The property is surrounded by coffee plantation and their garden is very beautiful. Rooms. : 5/5. Very comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, all the essentials provided in the room along with a balcony. Food: 4/5. The pork preparation , veg and other sides were great. The staff and the Owners were friendly and took great care of the guests. There is coffee powder, pepper and Cardamom for Sale. Also available are home made wines and coffee Liqueur. The quality of the products on sale is Excellent. I would definitely return to spend more time at this property. ~ Hans R
We stayed here for 2 nights with family. 1st thing you have to keep in mind is that its not a resort or a hotel but a homestay. So you should not have service level expectations of a hotel. Location is awesome. You have do drive down the valley inside from main road into the coffee estate. So try to reach before sunset. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Host Mr. Harish is a nice gentleman. Ganesh who takes care of guests also helpful. They served us nice home cooked food in breakfast and dinner. Food is also reasonably priced. They helped us to prepare food for my 1 yr old kid. Overall highly satisfied. ~ Abhijit P
True to its name, it’s hidden in a coffee plantation in deep woods , yet good connectivity. It’s lush green coffee estate with beautiful cottages and amazing view. Warm welcome by host Mr Harish and family. Coorg home stays and coffee estate stays are famous for hospitality and quality of food. Rice cake, Sambar, mango chutney/sweet pickle like dish with rice were yummy. Enjoyed my relaxed stay there for a day and came back refreshed. Nice place to stay with family/kids. Liked the idea of Car parking area which can be used as badminton Court. It’s maintained very well. Kudos to dedicated support staff. ~ Gyan
It was a pleasure to stay with Mr Harish & his team. It is located DEEP within the coffee estate. The ambience is arboreal with the tall trees & coffee plantation adding just the background base ... the real thing is the well manicured gardens with flowers in full bloom. The attention to details is spot on. The rooms are spacious clean and adequate for a comfortable stay. The food served is delicious & do not miss out on the local flavors. Special thank you to Mr Mani who is a one man army ... taking care of guests with a constant smile. Thank you for some wonderful memories. ~ Ninad V
Like the name says, the place is located deep in the woods 😅. Didn't expect the drive from the main gate to be this long! It is nestled comfortably inside the owner's coffee estate. They have their own spice garden and nursery, and they sell plants and spices like pepper to their guests as well. This place was highly recommended by our neighbors who have been here several times. And it lives up to the hype👍 The rooms are spacious and clean. The surrounding forest gives a certain arboreal feel to your stay. We had a lot of rain on the first day which dampened our spirits a bit, but the night was clear and the air had a crisp chill. The next day was bright and sunny, and a shutterbugs delight. We went for walks around the place several times. The food is good and they will customise to your taste. We had pork and mutton, with the former cooked in the traditional Corgi style. This was overall a very pleasant stay and a much needed getaway from city life. ~ Aritra B
We recently stayed Deep Woodz, Coorg, nestled amidst coffee plantations and lush greenery. The estate, owned by a gracious and helpful host, features a swimming pool, sports equipment, and an ambiance that evokes profound peace and serenity amid nature. The meals, prepared by the skilled cook, were exceptional—delicious and thoughtfully crafted. The rooms are comfortable and adequate, perfectly suited to their natural surroundings; luxury is neither expected nor necessary in such an idyllic setting. ~ Kiran s
It was a wonderful stay with my family at Deepwoodz. I visited after 10 years, and the vibe of the place still attracts me just the same. The peaceful atmosphere makes it truly special. Mr. Harish was excellent in hospitality—very warm, attentive, and welcoming. The rooms were superb—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The food was fantastic! A special mention to Mr. Debu for cooking such awesome dishes that truly delighted our taste buds. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely come back again. ~ Rajatjyoti B
Very peaceful and serene property. The owners are extremely friendly and always willing to make the stay comfortable. Rooms are neat and tidy. Washrooms are clean and hygienic. The property has rooms with a view of the estate which is pleasant. Special mention to Mani who is extremely approachable and helped us with the food and stay. Food here is homely and tasty. Would recommend trying their homemade liquor and wines. Property is away from the city and pocket friendly. Would definitely suggest staying here. ~ Stuti B
"One of the best experiences I’ve had! The atmosphere is calm, and the people are incredibly welcoming. While many places claim to provide 'homely' food but fall short, Mr. Dev is a standout. He is an exceptional chef who masters both restaurant-style and home-cooked meals perfectly—undoubtedly the best food we’ve ever had outside of our own home. Also, a special shout-out to Prem; he provided the best service possible and is a character we will remember for a long time!" ~ Gouri G
🏡 It's truly a Homestay with a homely plus close to nature experience away from the busy city life. We loved how the owners family were so involved with everything and took care of us as "guests". Even their staff were friendly and warm. The best part was the Healthy and tasty 😊food,(especially the black masala 🍗 and pork curry) all cooked straight from the owner's kitchen by his wife and team. Only downside is their tasty snacks are very overpriced. I've never paid so much for onion pakoras in my life!💸 . The rooms had a wonderful wooden cabin feel with an awesome balcony looking out to the coffee plantation. The bathroom had a unique sky🌌 window on the roof continuing the inside-outside theme. The road to the homestay can get tricky and i was nervous for my car and the location seems far from all the places you'd want to see. However, the homestay itself was worth it. Overall, I would recommend this stay to anyone in a heartbeat. The owner Harish even dropped a note to checkin on us during the current pandemic. We will be back as soon as possible! ~ RJ J
We stayed for 4 days and we absolutely loved it. The food was scrumptious! The pandi curry & Kadambuttu is a must try. The rooms were cozy, very clean and well kept. The hosts were lovely and friendly and made us feel very much at home. An escape from the mundane city life. The rustling of the trees, the birds chirping, the morning dew on the very well kept garden was a real delight . Tanish was extremely attentive and ensured we were very comfortable. We will definitely be visiting again! ~ sangu c
We had a wonderful stay at this estate. The hospitality of Harish and the whole team is magnificent, the food was really tasty and there were no wishes unmet. The location was in beautiful nature with lots of things to do in the area. The accomodation is nicely designed, super clean and really comfortable. We would definitely return for another stay for winding down from the busy city life in the greenery of coorg. ~ Gabriel M

Our recent stay at Deep Woodz in Coorg was truly spectacular, and it exceeded all expectations. I cannot recommend this property highly enough! First and foremost, the property and the facilities were simply amazing. Everything was immaculately maintained and well-equipped, ensuring we were perfectly comfortable during our entire stay. The culinary experience was a massive highlight of our trip. The food was entirely home-cooked and truly amazing, providing delicious and authentic meals that made us feel right at home. Beyond the comfort, the scenic beauty of the property was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to such views with a lot of greens and flowers all around the place made this a perfect, tranquil escape. Finally, the service was outstanding. The staff and, specifically, Harish sir were exceptionally helpful and accommodating with every request we had. Their hospitality made the entire visit seamless and memorable. If you are planning a trip to Coorg, I would strongly suggest everyone to stay at Deep Woodz! It is the perfect blend of comfort, incredible food, beautiful nature, and wonderful service. ~ Sanidhya S
Had a pretty good stay at this property. It was a relaxed trip for us, and the property was totally worth it. The property is filled with trees and plants, lush green all around. You can experience farm stay with all the luxury. The owner was pretty well spoken. A big shout out to Mani, the caretaker who single-handedly took care of all our needs. The food was lip smacking! One should definitely try the pundicurry. ~ Swapnil D
Wonderful Stay at Deep Woodz, Madikeri I had an amazing stay at Deep Woodz. The place is surrounded by beautiful greenery, and the wooden design of the cabin makes it feel cozy and warm. Waking up to foggy mornings and peaceful views was just perfect. The hospitality was top-notch, thanks to the owner and Mani, who were always helpful. The food, cooked by aunt, tasted like home and made the stay even more special. I can’t wait to visit again! ~ Nikhil C
The location is excellent deep in woods as the name suggests. We stayed there for 3 nights. Nice basic homely food was prepared for us as per our requirements .The short trek behind the estate to the stream was very peaceful. The only minus point was that on the third day there were many guests staying there and that's when the property was understaffed but on other 2 days when there were not many guests the service was satisfactory ~ Arti B
